Precision Founder and CEO Doug Sparks was taken to the hospital by ambulance after he passed out in his home due to very low blood pressure from a medication change between his cardiologist and nephrologist. When he arrived at the hospital, he had no records as they were spread out over four password-protected portals. Had he had access to those records on his phone, the hospital staff would have had his entire history when he arrived. His wife was helpless to assist.

Afterward, Doug said, "If this can happen to me in my position, it can happen to anyone, and that's unacceptable.  Our current system needs to be labeled DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) and be fixed immediately." At that time, we were finishing the Precision Health Access app, so he knew that was the answer, but it had to be FREE if we were going to Change Healthcare to Lifecare.  Many people say they are going to change healthcare but have consistently failed.  We will succeed, but only with your help!

BTW - Precision has long offered its technology and support at no cost to projects that help the unserved or underserved.  We have let many providers use our Electronic Health Records system (EHR) for free when they couldn't afford these costly systems.  Helping the consumer/patient via PROACT was simply the next logical step in being an excellent human and corporate citizen.
